To: All Ward and Stake Council Members,
Subject: Important information about the 2025 ATX West Stake 9.11 Service Projects to be communicated via the Ward and Stake Council members to all Austin Texas West Stake members. Continue including this information in newsletters, on websites, social media sites, WhatsApp, etc., until September 13, 2025.
The mission of the 9.11 Service Project is to inspire Americans and others to rekindle the remarkable spirit of unity and compassion that arose in the immediate aftermath of the 9.11 tragedy.
The information that members need for the service projects is contained in the attached pdf.
As you plan service projects for your quorums, activity days, classes, friends, and family members, keep in mind the following questions:
How does honoring those who lost their lives on 9.11 help us to Remember Him, our Savior, Jesus Christ?
How can this service bring me and others closer to the Savior?
President Thomas S. Monson taught, "May we show increased kindness toward one another, and may we ever be found doing the work of the Lord."

As a united Stake, we are participating in a blood drive to honor 9.11 Day of Service and in honor of Houston Bourne, a youth in the Hamilton Pool ward who is battling cancer. Houston receives blood product transfusions — including whole blood and platelets — regularly. Donating blood is an easy way for us to provide a life-saving measure that benefits Houston and others, and it’s our collective effort that makes it possible.
